FROM MY JOURNAL

Making room for connection.

My thoughts on approaching a shared experience with curiosity, care, and clear communication.

When a couple asks me about a shared Tantra session, I begin with both people. I want to know what each of you hopes for, what feels comfortable, and whether you both want to be there.

Talk before you book.

Take a quiet moment to discuss why the experience interests you. You may have different answers. One of you might want time away from routine, while the other may be curious about presence and body awareness. Neither answer needs to be more impressive than the other.

Make room for a real “no.”

A shared experience needs room for either person to decline without pressure. I don’t treat one partner’s enthusiasm as consent on behalf of the other. We’ll discuss the format and boundaries together.

Choose attention over performance.

I encourage a gentler question than “Are we doing this correctly?” Try noticing whether you’re listening, whether you feel comfortable, and whether there is anything you want to say. Connection doesn’t need to look a particular way.

Give yourselves time afterward.

If you choose to meet with me, you might leave a little space afterward for a walk, a quiet meal, or a conversation. There is no required interpretation of the experience, and you don’t have to feel exactly the same way about it.

My sessions are not couples therapy. If you need help with relationship conflict or safety concerns, a qualified professional may be a more appropriate place to start.
